Condrotide HA is a Class III Medical Device for intra-articular use consisting of a viscoelastic solution containing Polynucleotides HPT™, Linear HA, and Mannitol.
PN HPT™'s highly hydrophilic chemical structure enables it to retain a large amount of water at articular surfaces and form a 3D gel. Linear HA restores the mechanical and viscoelastic properties of synovial fluid (viscosupplementation) and performs a biological action on chondrocytes and synoviocytes, stimulating endogenous hyaluronic acid production (viscoinduction). Mannitol, through its ROS-scavenging activity, maximizes the linear HA action over time and minimizes HA degradation at the joint level by 34%.
Condrotide HA is a next-generation, three-component (Polynucleotides HPT™, Linear Hyaluronic Acid, Mannitol) intra-articular gel designed to evolve conventional osteoarthritis treatment. The polynucleotides, produced with Mastelli's proprietary High Purification Technology (HPT), exert a dual action at joint level: an initial biomechanical action (deep hydration of articular surfaces, improvement of synovial fluid rheological properties) and a contribution to the recovery of joint physiology (pain reduction). Linear hyaluronic acid (MW 1,200-1,500 kDa), obtained via bacterial bio-fermentation, acts through viscosupplementation and viscoinduction, while mannitol's antioxidant activity reduces hyaluronic acid degradation at the joint level.
