PLURIGIN® ovules are vaginal ovules containing low molecular weight hydrolyzed collagen (3-6 kDa). Collagen, the main building block of connective tissue, supports the strength, flexibility and elasticity of vaginal tissue.
It has been explained that 8.0% hydrolyzed collagen (MW 5-13 kDa) can penetrate the skin. Usage of hydrolyzed collagen stimulates synthesis of type 1 procollagen and elastin in 8 weeks (65% and 18%). Consequently, hydrolyzed collagen promotes fibroblast growth and stimulates neosynthesis of type 1 collagen.
